Sandstone Wall Solutions is a family owned business with experience in the stone industry spanning over 3 generations. We specialise in the construction of all types of sandstone walls including gravity walls, structural walls, wall cladding, sea walls, channel alignment, weirs and much more.
Our Director Charlie Sarkis has been involved in the sandstone industry for over 15 years, previously involved as a Project Manager with his family owned business “Sarkis Brothers Sandstone” which provided sandstone supply and installation services. Charlie subsequently became a director and a board member of “Gosford Quarries”, Australia’s pre-eminent sandstone supplier.
For the last 10 years Charlie has been directly involved with the county’s leading architects, structural engineers and landscape designers to help deliver some of the most prominent public and private projects all over the Eastern Seaboard. Our vast experience allows us create unique and beautiful designs.

BULK GRAVITY RETAINING WALLS
The gravity wall is a vertical wall which relies on bulk mass of assorted material. Unless the wall is very low, it needs to have a wide base in order to absorb the pressure from the soil as well as its own weight. Often the gravity wall is tilted back slightly towards the soil it is supporting, in order to compensate for pressure. Freestanding walls are often used as feature walls or division walls, our free sanding sandstone log walls can be built up to 3m in height with the support of intermediate dowels which are not visible from outside.
